This year the International Bicycle Tour is coming to Egypt. Today a group of German bikers will start on an adventurous expedition from Athens to Cairo covering 5000 km along the eastern Mediterranean coastline.
Initiated by the Dresdner Sportclub 1898 e.V., the “International Bicycle Tour Europe - Asia – Africa” understands itself as a sportive event intending to spread thoughts of hope for enduring peace through mutual understanding and acceptance of the diversity of cultures and religions. The Bicycling Tour “For Peace and Understanding” will reach Taba on December 31st. The last night of the year the participants will spend at Habiba Village and the first day of the New Year in St. Catherine. Via Wadi Feiran they will travel along the Suez coast. After this 45 days tour the group will reach Cairo on January 7.
Along the route enthusiastic local bikers are welcome to join.
